For more than forty years, Leo Carell
has lived at the crossroads of master craftsmanship, timeless elegance, and
enduring quality. What began as a vision has grown into a legacy — one built on

to longevity has earned us a devoted, multigenerational clientele who return to
us for the same reason they first arrived: uncompromising craftsmanship with

Where It All Began
Our story starts in 1981, inside a
modest boutique at 37 Voukourestiou Street, the historic heart of luxury in
Athens, Greece. Founder Leo Karagiannis, armed with a deep understanding of
textiles and an instinctive eye for design, set out to redefine contemporary
knitwear. His creations — vibrant, tactile, and meticulously crafted — quickly
became synonymous with modern Greek elegance.
Growth Through Vision
As demand for our signature aesthetic
grew, so did the world of Leo Carell. A dedicated design laboratory was
established to push the boundaries of textile innovation. The brand flourished
into fifteen boutiques across Greece, expanded through wholesale partnerships
across Europe, and proudly opened a flagship in Paris. Each step forward was
guided by the same principle: elevate everyday luxury through craftsmanship and creativity.
Resilience & Reinvention
When the global economic shift of 2008
reshaped the fashion landscape, Leo Carell adapted with intention. We
transitioned toward exclusive B2B collaborations, ensuring that our standards —
and the integrity of our craft — remained untouched. This period of evolution
strengthened our foundation and prepared us for the next chapter.
A New Era of Craft
In 2023, our journey returned to its
roots. The doors of 37 Voukourestiou Street opened once again — this time to
welcome a new expression of the Leo Carell legacy.
Today
We are a luxury leather house, dedicated
to creating hand‑crafted, understated, enduringly elegant leather bags. Each
piece is made with care, precision, and a profound respect for the craft. We
design for those who value quiet luxury, thoughtful details, and the beauty of
something made slowly, intentionally, and to last.
